Rebecca Beck, owner of Studio 48 Performing Arts Center, founded New England Youth Theater in 2007.  It is NEYT purpose to provide an opportunity for children of New England, to participate in quality productions of Musical Theater and Theater.  

New England Youth Theater is more than just a theater.  It is a place where children can grow and develop into confident individuals.    At NEYT, students gain self awareness through creativity, developing self esteem that will last a life time.  It is our mission to offer youth of all ages, to experience the creative process and the performance of live theater, for children.   We provide youth of the Mid-Coast Area and beyond, the wonderful opportunity  to audition, and participate in a community –based quality theater production for the purpose of developing confidence, individual creativity and self-esteem. 

Children of all ages are encouraged to participate, in all aspects of theater, whether their interests are: set designing, stage management, dancing, singing, acting, make-up, costuming, lighting and sound engineering, there is a place for them.   Our professional and well educated production staff will teach children necessary skills to help develop the young aspiring actor/actress as well as the theater tech, crew and audience.
